A somewhat unusual one this. Cave developed, but runs on Capcom CPS2 hardware under a Capcom license. And as is usually the case in cross license deals it gave Cave a chance to experiment. So they went horizontal.
Overall it's a very good attempt, but there doesn't seem to be such careful design in the bullet spreads and you find yourself glued to the corners of the screen far too often or twitching back and forth as bullets change direction or follow ambiguous paths. So often the enemies are in positions that are too hard to get to, and you spend time trying to chase the boss down instead of dealing out the damage.
Overall I'd say it was good, but it could've done with more time in the oven.
