MMMHX Spark Mandrill

Spark Mandrill

Spark Mandrill (or Spark Mandriller in Japanese) is a character from the Mega Man X series. He is a mandrill-based Maverick and a boss who debuted in Mega Man X. During the rebellion of Sigma, Spark Mandrill followed along.

Strategy[]

In all games where he appeared, first, Spark Mandrill will charge at Mega Man X by using his fist in the arena, like Guts Man does charge in Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters. Later, Mandrill will jump in the arena, this is easily dodged by sliding under him. When Spark Mandrill is slamming the ground, there are two Electric Sparks that X will have to avoid. Later, Spark Mandrill will climb on the bars like primates do in real life, and he'll fall on to X where he's standing and then repeats the process.

Other in-game appearances[]

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X[]

Spark Mandrill was voiced by Randy Brososky in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X and this is the second appearance where Spark Mandrill speaks (unlike the first one where he has a speaking role is in Ruby Spears' Mega Man cartoon).

Mega Man Xtreme series[]

In Mega Man Xtreme, Spark Mandrill will behave like the one in his first appearance.

In Mega Man Xtreme 2, Spark Mandrill only appears in Boss Attack mode.

Trivia[]

  • Spark Mandrill was the only primate Maverick until Soldier Stonekong in Mega Man X7.
