Debilitas

Debilitas is the castle's gardener and handyman in the survival horror game Haunting Ground.

Upon encountering Fiona Belli walking in the castle, he is compelled to chase after her. Despite his hulking size and massive strength, he has the mental capacity of a young child. He can only seem to understand simple language and is only heard speaking short, garbled phrases ("My dolly", "Where is you!" and the rarely-heard "My little poogly pie!"). He plays with dolls, and believes that Fiona is also a big doll.

His origins are unclear, but he may be one of Riccardo's failed "creations"; when Fiona enters the medical room whilst being chased by Riccardo or Daniella, an image of a large and muscular person is shown (possibly a diagram of Debilitas). He is easily outwitted by Fiona, but is persistent and far more powerful.

Debilitas harasses Fiona and Hewie for quite a while until all three of them enter the Chapel, after which Fiona is forced to fight him. The battle has two outcomes; Fiona can either drop a large chandelier on top of him, or can wear his health down.

In terms of attacking, He tends to use basic punches, slaps and kicks. It is usually not advised to kick him using Fiona's basic attack as he usually counter attacks with a haymaker of sorts, knocking Fiona down temporarily. When Fiona is stressed, He uses an attack that knocks Fiona down, if he connects he will then get on top of Fiona and punch her on the ground, killing her. As with all Haunting Ground stalkers, he is capable of grabbing Fiona, wrapping his giant arms around her small frame, lifting her, and squeezing Fiona, rapidly increasing her Stress. If Fiona does not escape in time or is not saved by Hewie from his grasp she convulses in his grasp and a cracking sound effect is heard, implying her ribs were crushed under Debilitas great strength and she goes limp in his grasp. The "Acta Is Fabela" game over text is then displayed, highly suggesting Fiona died. As every stalker has their own sounds during the "Acta Is Fabela" screen, Debilitas sounds like he is playing with Fiona's dead body like a child would play with a toy.

Other appearances[]

Debilitas, along with Fiona and Hewie, is featured in Joe the Condor's ending in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

Trivia[]

  • It can be argued that Debilitas is part of the Belli family, as both Riccardo and Ugo Belli were created by Lorenzo and they both have the name. It can be theorized that Riccardo might be ashamed of his creation and refuses to acknowledged this fact.
