Fortinbras

Fortinbras, the King of the Demons, is a character from the Onimusha series of action-adventure games.

Story Edit

Fortinbras is the Genma Lord, also known the God of Light or the White Serpent. He is portrayed as a gargantuan serpent-like demon lord, with a pair of large wings intact on his back and a third eye on top of his head. He attempted to rule the world with the aid of Nobunaga, only to be slain by Samanosuke in Onimusha: Warlords.

However, Fortinbras is eventually resurrected by the Genma Triumvirate, assuming his true form, a human-like figure resembling an European noble in dress who has been viewing the events of the game before revealing himself. Though he was the most powerful, Fortinbras died against Soki and his friends in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

NotesEdit

Fortinbras does not appear in Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny, but there is an ancient scripture of text that describes how he created the Genma to thrive and do as they please. It is further revealed that he also created the human race, afterwards, as mere fodder for the Genma to enslave and feast upon.
