Miles Edgeworth

Added by IcysugarspikeMiles Edgeworth is a character in the Ace Attorney series of "courtroom drama" games.
Story
Edit
Serving as Wright's rival, Edgeworth became a prosecutor at the age of 20. His father was a famous defense attorney. As a child, Edgeworth aspired to become one, too. However, for reasons explained in the "Turnabout Goodbyes" case of the first game, he becomes a prosecutor instead. He witnessed a case where he believed the alleged killer got off free, instead of being imprisoned. This forever shaped his overall outlook on life.
Manfred von Karma was his mentor. Through him, Edgeworth learned how to use dirty tricks to rig the court in his favor and became known as the "demon prosecutor" who always gets his "guilty" verdict. Mia Fey, followed by Phoenix Wright, hand him his first losses in court. He changes face drastically after facing Phoenix Wright, stating in the fourth case of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All that "Our job is to find the truth."
During "Bridge to the Turnabout", the fifth case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations, Phoenix Wright is hospitalized, and Edgeworth takes over for him as defence attorney for the first trail in the case. This is the first and only time in the Phoenix games that Edgeworth is available as a playable character. A running gag is that Edgeworth is usually unable to get his witnesses to state their names and occupations. Also, in both the manga and (to a lesser extent) the game, it's implied that he's a closet Steel Samurai fan.
